This book came about after a reading of the Black Domers book. After hearing about the compelling story of racial integration at Notre Dame, then speaking with Alumni about the path towards a more inclusive community for LGBTQ+ students, a group of first year students recognized the powerful story towards further inclusion Notre Dame had to tell. A story that is not only important for record keeping, but for where the University can still grow. The process towards being a more inclusive community has been a long and hard fought battle with the Notre Dame administration. Only through effective organizing of the community and a changing political climate has Notre Dame been able to slowly move towards a more inclusive environment.
